"House of Games" with out a doubt. I'd even put "Spartan" above this '91 flick. "Oleana" and "Spanish Prisoner" are all ahead of the class. This flick was a big mess.

Homicide hands down

Homicide is better, Mamet's best flick after The Spanish Prisoner

House of Games was far more gripping and memorable I think. Also preferred Spanish Prisoner, Oleanna (my fav Mamet), Glengarry, even The Edge!! Homicide had redeeming points, but it was badly shot, and came across as flat and flack.

I watched "House of Games" last week and "Homicide" this week, so they're both fresh in my mind. Both have superb dialogue and compelling plots, but "House of Games" wins hands-down in my opinion.

I prefer Mamet's more psychological work rather than his "action" scripts – though even "Homicide" is more about identity than action.

And "Glengarry Glen Ross" is better than both combined.

Homicide is by far his best film - a masterpiece of its type. I love House of Games, but it doesn't have anywhere near the deeper shades of darkness that Homicide does.

House of Games entertains, but Homicide haunts.

House of Games may be more entertaining as it deals with cons but Homicide is intriguing.

Its that man again!!

I liked both, but i prefer "House of Games" by far!

House Of Games remains the ultimate, supremely smooth, seamless example of Mamet´s craft as a director (Glengarry Glen Ross is an even better film, but of course it´s directed by James Foley). Homicide may be solid second best, but don´t really come close.

yeah, same for me. house of games trumps this easily. i am 30 min in and about to pull the plug. i dunno, it's just boring. not gonna waste my time on this thing. way way way too slow moving.

and, i REALLY don't care at all what's happening on screen

(but i saw house of games last week for first time ever and it was riveting. totally riveting)

House of Games is a lot of fun, but Homicide posseses a thematic and emotional depth which really elevates it. Stunning film.
