The Real Way to Combat Evil Spirits

I thought this movie was well done for a TV movie. I also thought it was quite inspirational how they showed the true way to fight the Devil and evil spirits.

When the mother becomes aware that there is obviously a supernatural Presence in the house, she goes right up to her room and begins praying the Rosary. It is a wonderful thing to see her kneeling there saying Hail Marys

The movie shows the way to combat the Devil is through prayer. When the prayer group comes to the house, nothing happens and the house has a sense of serenity and peace. The demons are held back by the faith and prayers of these people

Of course, it was a long battle, and as the movies suggests, it continued for a long time. Still, it was both scary and inspirational. I suppose it should be since it supposidly is based on a true story and it is through prayer that the devil is REALLY defeated.

I agree Fitz. It's absurd and laughable to see that many modern horror movies have the hero defeating the devil and demons with an AK-47.

Blessed are you when people insult persecute, and falsely say evil against you because of me

I've seen spirits all my life including demons. The truth is most of the time bringing a man of God into the home such as a preacher or priest will quiet the demon for a short time but then things will get worse. The demon wants a fight. Believe me, I've read many cases and talked to many families who will confirm this. You get that moment of peace and then when you think all is well, all (bleep) breaks loose.

Most of the time a form of exorcism is needed. This often includes getting the demon's name and you need a demonologist to work alongside the priest. The family has to be included too as it's their home and moving out will not solve the problem. The demon's goal is to destroy the family and tear them apart. You will notice in most haunting stories the family will discuss fights and anger. They are not themselves anymore.

But, all in all, prayer and faith are the answers and God will win.
