The screams, oh my god, the screams!

I have read down some of these threads and everyone one mentions the Janet scenes, and sure, they are memorable. But no one even mentions the screams! For example, when the family is out and everything goes haywire, with the lights flickering and the doors slamming. God those sounds are awful! Bravo on whoever made them though, because if I ever were to characterize something in a movie as demonic, it would have to be those screams.

OMG! I was wondering if this was the movie I was thinking, when they all leftand the houses windows doors and curtains went crazy with the most terrifiying sounds in ghost movie history! I'm getting goose bumps just thinking of it! Thank god for torrents, cause I would NEVER have found this anywhere!

That was my favorite part. That and the black figure that followed them creeped me the hell out!! If you pause it just right, you can almost make out a face...and it doesn't look to happy. ::EEK!!::

And the creepy shadows zooming from one window to the next.

Oh, yeah, that scene always gives me that "Scooby Doo with his legs going around like helicopter blades" feeling. For me, sound always adds so much to the impact of a film. (I even have to mute the sound when I watch Princess Bride, and it gets to that part when Wesley stabs the ROUS and it howls in pain).

God them screams are blood curdling, alot what makes this film so effective is the awesome sound department. The scream, the whispers...so simple but they have such a unique terrifying quality to them.

Another scene that was rather creepy and effective was the moment in the basment. Just the simplicity of the mother calling out and then her voice is suddenly inside the room, behind her. That genuinly creeped me out.

Definatly that freaked me out, it was just her voice...I can't quite explain it but her voice was terrifying.

That scene is the one I remember the most and which I associate the film with first and foremost. Unbelievably horrifying.

I can't imagine a lot of creepier things than hearing the voice of someone (you know!) Downstairs and then suddenly right behind you and there's no one to be seen!!! Also the whispers in the pillow... and the terrible screams!
