Don't you wish they redid the Guyver?

Man I love the suit and the story, dispite how they made the first movie so corny, I still liked it but only because of the suit. I wish they would create another movie and spend some money on it and make it more cool and not too hollywood or cheesy, then it would be awesome imo.

Yes with current technology they could make it a super remakebut not with one of those big hollywood stars but withy someone fresh and new.

reply

Agreed, they should do that regardless in a franchise film like Guyver, Batman, etc. That way the actor will be the character in everyone's minds and not have them thinking it's just another role.

yeah, a big budget hollywood remake closer to the original story(because you cant follow 20 plus volumes directly and adapt them into a film) would be great

Wished they had done a sequel after Dark Hero! Only this time, Team up Sean Barker with another Guyver akin to the manga version with a Agito Makishima's styled Guyver 3 and they both go up against Cronos! Also liked how the first 2 Guyver film's were done, if this when all hollywood, the only thing looking good out of all this stuff would be the SFX effects (probably done in CGI now?), the actors, the action etc would all suffer with much bigger named stars in the roles.

A do-over reboot but with the actual film still done in the asian hong-kong Martial Arts style would make it work though on a larger budget!

Hell just give Steve Wang a hollywood sized budget and let him redo his own Guyver films nuff said!

I'd prefer a sequel to a reboot. Also Hollywood wouldn't touch this film with a 10 foot poll. There's almost no market appeal for a mainstream audience unless they cut out all the gore and violence or made it corny and accessible like the DragonBall movie.

I'd like to see Steve Wang have another go or see Japan take a stab at it.

They have to!
And make it bloody as oppose to Marvel movies.
But honestly, I think, Hollywood is stuck in sameness - each movie looks like another. So, probably, they are unable to make it distinctive.
Comprende?

Maybe Lionsgate can reboot it like they did with Dredd.

Eli Roth (Hostel) as director or dude from Blade 1 - sea of bloody blood will bleed into ocean.
Or Carpenter/Cronenberg (the Thing, the Fly) - good for naturalistic body mutation.
