The Guyver uses Aikido?

I'm no martial arts expert...but the fighting style that the Guyver uses in the movie looks a lot like Aikido. Is this correct? Enquiring minds would like to know! Whh-chaa!!!

I mean I guess he uses Aikido to an extent, there aren't strikes in Aikido, and he does punch and kick in this, as well as the elbow blades he uses, pretty sure that Aikido practicioners don't grow bio-mechanical sonic blades out of their elbows.

aikido can be pretty badass when properly applied. Especially if you're a *beep* Guyver....not that I know anything about that.
