Edward Yang’s beautiful epic mural depicting the cultural and political identity issues of Taiwanese youth in early-1960s Taipei is a show-stopper that’s as entertaining as Spielberg, and as rhetorical and emotional as a southern Baptist preacher on a hot Sunday in the summer.
