I always wondered why they didn't ask Linda Evens to do her character from The Big Valley?
Or Peter Brown to do Johnny McKay from Lawman?

There were a few others who did not play their original characters such as Drury, McClure, & Brinegar. My guess would be contract conflicts/ownership of the property names.
The guest stars in this movie were really something else. What a great collection. Even though they were mostly cameos.
I watch alotta TV...but that doesn't mean I don't have a job.
Just a personal preference, but I would have liked to has seen cameos of Dack Rambo and Jason Evers as Jeff and Jim Sonnett. The series only ran two years, but it was very well written and one of the better westerns I saw growing up.
No brag, just fact.
Of course a cameo of Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry would've been fun too.
Jesus is the Son of God and my Lord and savior. Pretty cool.
