Who in the world at Encore Westerns gave this tripe 3 stars? I only came to IMDB to see who all was making fun of that horrible movie.

I'm sure it was someone who watched a number of TV westerns and was nostalgic about all of the cameos. The film is a two star made for TV western featuring country musicians as its heroes and the sleazy coworker from Dear John as its villain. It is what it is, but the cameos were a treat for anyone who watched those shows. Granted, the film was over reliant upon them. He couldn't walk into a scene without running into a western lead, historical figure, or both, but it was still fun to see all of those familiar faces.

I think the Rifleman in particular received the best cameo.

I've never seen this movie. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and was a fan of The Rifleman TV series. Just to see Chuck Conners and Johnny Crawford acting together again would be worth enduring an otherwise bad TV Movie.

JMHO The movie was a good idea but sounds like it was poorly executed, like too many other things the entertainment industry does these days.

Sadly while Conners and Crawford both appear in the film as their characters from the Rifleman they don't actually appear together.

They do appear together in the Paradise episode but not Te Gambler.

If you want to see Connors and Crawford reunited they appeared in the western tv series Paradise as father and son ( together in 1 episode plus two more with just Connors )
