I don't care what anybody says John Doe is the most interesting character of the entire Nightmare Franchise and as a result Freddy's Dead is the most interesting thought provoking movie of the whole bunch and it absolutely kills me inside that the mystery of John Doe will never be solved but like the Mona Lisa the true art is how it can be interpreted in so many ways based on the viewer
shareThis one isn't my top favorite but I enjoy it. I actually saw this one in theaters and was excited about it being in 3D. I agree John Doe is an interesting character. I too believed he was Freddy's son. I like seeing more of a back story to Freddy in this movie. I would have liked to have seen more but I understand why they didn't make that the main plot. When this came out there was big public funeral Freddy lol it definitely got up the hype for the movie. I was about 15 when this came out.
shareI like it more than 4 or 5. But the first 3 are the best. I still find it enjoyable and like the flashbacks to Freddy's life. I even like the cartoonish NES kill.
