Love this film!!!

I really think it is underrated! I thought the whole cast did a great job. Kate Nelligan cracked me up! I like the soundtrack, especially that song "It must be Love"..I actually had that song in my head forever after i watched it! One of the best romantic comedies i've seen and actually i think its one of my favourite films!

I agree....this is a gem of a movie. It has everything going for it. A good cast, characters we care about, a good storyline, good dialoque and a very good love story.

This movie is filled with vignettes, but the closing scenes have to be the most tender...as well as the most insightful.

I just saw it for the first time this weekend and really liked it. I found both characters easy to relate to.

I'll tell you the greatest regret of my life: I let my love go.

An amazing movie.. Cannot be said enough. It's a tight little lovestory that completely lacks clichees. It's just something that sneaks into your head and makes you happy all over, even if it deals with many of the difficulties having a lovelife.

I agree with the term "underrated." I immediately connected with this movie. I think the excellent script and the tremendously skilled actors (I LOVE Michelle Pfieffer) contributed to the quality of this movie, as well as the unique, engaging premise. I don't see many romance-based films with this kind of gritty integrity.

I absolutely agree with everything being said...talk about underrated, it doesn't even get a showing on TV any more.
It must be Garry Marshalls best film to date...its a pity that its overshadowed by Pretty Woman etc.
Im literaly just waiting for the DVD to arrive in the post,so I can watch this superb film again, and again, and again!

I've watched, rented this film tons of times. It never gets old for me. I don't find Al Pacino drop dead gorgeous or anything but that scene in front of the flower truck ALWAYS gives me goosebumps!! The PASSION!
I just believed in his love for her and her sadness and vulnerability. At the heart of this movie is just the idea that everyone is deserving of love. Love like that is not just for the happy, shiny people you know?

I concur. This is a very good romantic and mature movie.

Just watched this on Sky HD, having only seen it once before a very long time ago, and I must say the fact that I'm posting to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and is defintely underrated means I'm still thinking about it now. Top drawer!

I totally agree, I don't usually like movie love stories, but this one is different from the romantic comedy garbage of today.

Great cast and has a very "real feel" to it.
