Al Pacino takes my breath away

I absolutely love Al Pacino in everything, but in this movie in particular his intensity just leaves me breathless. (He's crazy sexy in "Sea of Love," too.) His Johnny loves Frankie so much and the way he refuses to allow her to withdraw from him just gives me chills, especially when he asks the DJ to play "Clair de Lune" again. I just watched F&J again for probably the half-dozenth time and I still want to shake Frankie and tell her to wake up, realize what she has with him, and give happiness a chance.

I love this movie on so many levels. First of which, like I said, is that Johnny just makes me melt. But also because the film boasts such a perfect ensemble cast. Every one of the actors makes their characters so interesting and lovable, including Cora, Netta and Nick in the diner and Tim and Bobby next door to Frankie. (Another thing I love about it is that when I first saw it in 1991, that was the first time I ever saw Nathan Lane, and he immediately became one of my favorite character actors. I will watch him in anything.)

I found him hotly intense in this film too especially when he asked her to undress and he watches her. Look at his eyes, he smolders. Also love the Dec scene when he finally cries out, I found him so adorably cute afterwards.

Pacino was hottest IMO in the ff films:

Tgf 1-2
Serpico
Bobby Deerfield
Sea of Love
Frankie and Johnny
Carlito's Way

If he likes her so much, why did he sleep with her coworker? He asks her out, she says no, then he hops on her friend and comes back when it doesn't work out. He's also an ex-convict who has a failed marriage under his belt and he's a deadbeat dad. this guy is the definition of "bad boy" because bad boys always win over tough women with their persistence and vulnerable act. they're likeable and charming... until their true colors come through.

Because more than anything, he craves companionship and connection. IMO he did it with Cora, all in the hopes that she would let him sleep over so he could spoon with her. If you remember, he pays a prostitute to come up to his room and doesn't even have her undress, all he wants to do is sleep and spoon.

Everyone craves companionship. It's just that some people don't want it once they get it.

I agree,,,and I never go for short men, but with Pacino I can make the exception.. I love him in everything he does.
