When Caan and Midler have the 'old person' make up on...

...and they have the argument over Danny, Caan rants "I never killed nobody, I never started no wars..."

all I could think of was Jim Carrey as Tony Clifton in 'Man On The Moon'!
"Screw that goddamn Kaufman" or whatever...

The makeup that makes people look older STILL looks like that...it all looks alike; and the face, around the mouth, doesn't move right...

and Caan's voice sounded just like Tony Clifton! Love that character, best thing about MOTM!

'For The Boys' was OK, kinda schmaltzy and ham-handed in spots, but entertaining. Always thought Bette was kinda hot (especially in a short skirt), and the dancer at the WWII shows...smokin'!

"How do you feel?"

The latex work was really horrible. I felt as though I were looking at Halloween costumes.

Watching now, just flipping around....the make-up is absolutely horrendous, community theater bad.

The make-up was so horrid and really detracted from the drama of that scene. Doesn't seem like there's been much advance over the years in the industry - anyone see J.Edgar?

The makeup was a blight on an otherwise-fine film.

If you're going to focus on unimportant superficial elements and let them distract you from the story, you'll never get into anything. It's called "suspension of disbelief", look it up.
