I have never seen this so before i order it i have questions...

I am a huge Robin Williams fan. That being said i have missed some of his movies over the years and the Fisher King was one of them. I really want to order it but before i spend the 10 dollars i wanted some feedback. Is it something i would enjoy? I have never seen a Terry Gilliam movie before (i know where have i been right). But to help answer my question these are some of the Robin Williams movies i like...Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Awakenings, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, Insomnia, What Dreams May Come, Jack. Obviously the Fisher King seems more outside the box than these but i am interested in seeing it. Any feedback advice from those who enjoyed it or didn't enjoy it?

Hard to say. I bought it off Amazon the day after the tragedy. And I will say it was okay. Very long movie. Basically Bridges pisses off a caller on his talk show. The caller kills some people. Years later he meets the widower of one of the women killed, Williams. He is homeless and clearly insane. Bridges helps him fibd love and the holy grail. It really wasnt all that great, but thats just my opinion. Dont expect a masterpiece.

This is an array of wholly different films you're naming, so on that basis it's impossible to conclude anything. It's a relatively tame & restrained film by Gilliam's standards, but still eccentric compared to the typical mainstream fare.

Thank you both for your responses. I think i will pass on it...but just for now. Later on when the price goes down i'll check it out.

Well why buy the dvd when you can watch it on NetFlix? Even if you dont have NetFlix you can get the first month free.

I love this movie but i had to watch it atleast three times before i really got the depth of Robin's performance because he just spoke so fast and frantically that he was really hard to understand the first few times. But that's nothing new for Robin Williams.

But Robin has great chemistry with Jeff Bridges so the scenes theyre in together are amazing.

My only problem with this movie is Jeff Bridges character in the beginning.

If you're looking for movies with Robin that you've never seen before, i suggest House of D which also stars David Duchovny. This one is my most favorite RW movie. It is more of a family movie but i like it so much because we see Robin play a character like he never played before: A mentally challenged janitor whose best friend is twelve year old Tommy. It sounds like a bad movie but there is much more to it than that. Oh and this movie also stars Zelda Williams, Robin's daughter. They even share scenes together.

Ha, we have opposite tastes. That was the only really good part of the movie for me.
