Millionaires?

Werent Rollie and Leo millionaires several times over at the end of the first movie?

Why wouldn't that translate to this one?

Leo lived in his very own bar and Rollie had that awesome loft apartment. You could tell that they had a little more money than they knew what to do with.

Yes the sequel doesn't make much sense considering they walked away with $15 million in the first film. So they just completely disregarded that fact and made a sequel anyway.

It would have been nice if they would have explained what happened with the money. Having the stolen mafia money being nothing but counterfeit would have been lame but at least it would have worked. Rather than simply disregarding the ending of the first film and hoping everyone forgot.

It's weird how they forgot about it. Rollie running a toy company and Leo working as a private investigator makes no sense, they should have retired and been rolling in babes.

I'm more curious how they explained Rollie coming back from the dead. Remember the NYPD thought they had a body that disappeared.
