I love this movie! It pulls at my heart strings everytime I watch it! The thing I am confused about is that it says here it's made in 1991, it says 1994 on my cable information description. But it looks like it's from the 1970's or early 1980's?? The styles of clothing, cars, haircuts are NOT from the '90's. Does anyone know when this was actually made? Did it sit on a shelf for a while before it came out?? Thanks for any info.
shareThe movie was made and released in 1991. Nowhere in the film does it say what year the story takes place in but, given the gas price of 1.09 I'd hazard a guess at late '70s. You don't really think they made Gladiator back in the Roman days, do you? *grin*
shareI love this movie, too, and I am also confused about when it was made. When I first saw this movie today, I looked at the tivo guide to learn when this movie was made and it said 1994. Judging by the cars, I believed, like nailsrred, that the story may have been set in an earlier time. Imdb.com says the movie was [made?] in 1991. Could it be that it wasn't [released?] until 1994? Was it only a limited release? Could any or all of that be why so many of us are even hearing about it for the first time in 2008? My speculation, only.

Eyes of an Angel was made in 1989 and released in 1991, that is what is on the back cover on my DVD and hope this was of great help.
Hi, thanks for clearing that up. As for the earlier comment about Gladiator... I am aware that they make movies now that are made to look like they're set in another era, this actually looks like it was made in the 1970's! Very authentic. And with all the different release dates being different, I thought that was strange! It's very possible for them to make a movie that sits on the shelf for 10+ years. This was an excellent movie, a must see for animal lovers!
