IIRC Gregory Hines' character says something like (paraphrased) “I've gotta get to New York to warn (protect?) (whomever) before Eve can get there" [to kill them]....why not just pick up the phone and call them to warn them?

This movie was so full of plotholes it's ridiculous

I think you are putting too much brain into Eve of Destruction. It's like trying to reason out Class of '99. Sometimes it's best to remove yourself and just enjoy the ridiculous ride.

I'm just a guy that likes horror flicks.
