Campbell Scott

How hot was Campbell Scott in this movie? Didn't you just want to wrap him up in your arms and reassure him that he wasn't going to die and everything would be all right?

reply

YES! I was thinking the same thing!

Jack Sparrow: But why is the rum gone?

reply

Yes he played incredibly, I think every woman would crave to be loved in such a way and looked upon the way he was looking at her... His eyes were on fire, the illness was making his features amazingly attractive. I think the movie as a whole is totally underrated.

I couldn't agree more! This movie is underrated and deserves to be seen as the sweet endearing romantic movie that it aspired to be in my opinion. It was wonderful. I was left with a warm and fuzzy feeling in the pit of my tummy. And if a movie can do that to anyone then it must be good to some extent and doesn't deserve to be disregarded by the so called critics. Critics do not express the views of the common man as they are usually a bunch of pretentious intellectuals who think they know so much more than us! It may not be an Oscar winner but its a good watch. Just enjoy the sexy intimate feel and smile! Cheers ya'all!

Yes, he did a wonderful job. Amazing that the same man played both this role and that of the outrageous guy with a mouth on him in Other Voices. What an actor!

I wondered if Campbell lost weight for this movie, because his features were so thin and gaunt -- his face looked hollow or something. He was great in the movie, however.

Dont laugh anybody, but this is the first time I actually sat thru the movie "Dying Young" and it was an incredible movie. That Campbell Scott was gorgeous back then, and now , is very handsome, especially in "Six Degrees". How I wish I was Julia for this movie. LOL... May God Bless.

reply

Yeah, he was GORGEOS in this movie! I just watched it for the first time today and instantly fell in love with his characer "Victor". I still can't get over it, something about him differs him from any other celebrity or actor... I just can't quite put my finger on it.

I know what you're saying MrsDiCaprio_x3 ..

I think the reason it was so easy to fall in love with him in this movie was because of his intense eyes, his modesty, his intelligence and the warm loving nature that he had.

I just LOVE the fact that they cherished every day they had together. They didn't even have a TV until Gordon bought them 1. Before then they probably just snuggled and made love every night in front of the fire.

*sigghhh

I thought he was gorgeous. After seeing this movie this morning, I had to come to Imdb to see who he was. Gorgeous!

But it's a real change to see him in "Dying Young" made in 1991 when he was about 29, and to fast-forward to 2007 and see him. Of course, he's older and heavier; makes me aware of how much time has passed. 1991 doesn't really seem that long ago.

I'm pretty sure he's wearing eyeliner in this movie.

He shouldda got the statuette

if it were up to me I'd chose to speak like Humphrey Bogart, but....it isn't
