The moment that turned me off this movie for good

Apart from the general childishness of the title character (and Rik Mayall was much better on British TV), the moment that made me think that DDF was very mean-spirited and almost evil is when he makes a fool of Phoebe Cates' character in public, by making her yell at thin air, and tricks her into attacking an innocent violinist. I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy, let alone my best friend.
