He was responsible for a lot of my childhood laughs.

Posting my condolences here...

...because Rik Mayall will always be Drop Dead Fred to me!

Absolutely heartbroken to hear this. Drop Dead Fred was one of my favourite films as a kid and one I frequently watch now. I can't think of any other single character from my childhood who I feel more love for than Drop Dead Fred. Also loved Flash-heart in Blackadder and Mayall as a comedian. Such a sad loss to the world. He brought so much laughter to over 3 generations, I'm glad to see people I know with children spreading the Drop Dead Fred love as it was such a huge part of my own childhood.

You will be missed so much Rik.
