I always thought there should have been a sequel

Though it's too late now since Rik Mayall is dead, what do you think could have been the plot of the sequel?

Fred's new little girl ( the one we see at the end) gets hit by a car! She's in a comma, and Drop Dead Fred needs to team up with Phoebe to enter into the little girl's fantasy world, and rescue her from the coma!

Well even if he was still alive, it wouldn't have made sense. Fred didn't age in the 20 years he was locked up on the jack-in-the-box, so it wouldn't make sense that he'd age for the sequel.

You obviously don't understand the time dialation physics of a Jack-in-the-box or you'd know that time moves more slowly inside the box

Well they are remaking Drop Dead Fred.

Say it isn't so. Leave Rik Mayels best peromance alone. It's not dated and holds up well enough,,, my 5 yo sis in law watched it with me last night and it's already become one of her favs too.

What's the pitch of a remake? Turning Fred into a Cgi character? They already did it with a much higher budget in The Mask... Leave Fred alone.
