Who is the target audience for this movie?

If it's a kids movie it's thrown off by the adult elements of the plot.

If it's an movie for adults it's thrown off by the childish humor.

Its for children aged from 8 to 80.

I despair at the rating of 5.8 for this film. I understand that slapstick isn't everyone's cup of tea, I didn't really enjoy the Three Stooges (2012). But Drop Dead Fred is so much more, its a shame it isn't more widely appreciated.

^I partially agree, but I think Three Stooges is as fun as Drop Dead Fred in innocent spirit standards.

It's not for 8 year olds. There's a lot of bad language and sexual themes. The film is a certificate 15 in the UK, I would say 12 up. A shame really because I've shown my kids most of the Rik Mayall bits and they this it's hilarious!

The only reason to watch it is to see Phoebe Cates in her prime with a bob hairstyle.

It was a movie for our moms that we could watch too like Don't tell Mom the babysitters dead. Mom's love Phoebe Cate's journey against a two timing Eric Stratton and her bitch mother and love they Carrie Fischer and the Mickey dude.
