What was the experience like? I know this film was a box office flop so I was wondering if anyone else was in the theater watching it too. Me and my Dad first watched this movie on HBO or Cinemax I think around 1992/1993. We never heard about it being in theaters.
shareYes I did, here in Australia. I was only 13 but from memory it was well received in the cinema and got lots of laughs, it certainly did from my brother and me. Australian humor is very similar to British humor which is one reason I think it did well here and bombed in the US.
shareI saw it in a second-run theater, so it was maybe $1.50 at the time. Even at that, I walked out on it.

shareI did as I was a huge Rik Mayall fan. Thought it was a bit "Hollywoody" (being used to his anarchic television stuff) but enjoyable. This was in Australia where Rik was a big star unlike the US at the time.
