Wireless Headphones?

In one of the scenes she wears wireless headphones to listen to the cassette. I was not aware that they had those in the 90s- unless they were just "wireless" headphones to make the scene easier to shoot. I thought that they were a recent invention?

I had wireless headphones in the 90's, they used infrared to connect! They were by Philips.
