Did Anyone Actually Despise This Film?

Beginning to end, I thought of Seinfeld's definite parody, "Rochelle, Rochelle," ("a young girl's erotic adventures from Moscow to Minsk?") I always suspected that the recurring parody was about some real-life art film. Now I know. What a crock of crap, written by an old man to get a starlet naked, any starlet.

The trilogy was pretentious, but not risibly so. This was.

Considering the OP doesn´t contain a single instance of any actual criticism, it´s kind of hard to figure out what the point of posting this was supposed to be. Except to let the world know how angry you are - but... who cares?

It's actually "Milan to Minsk." But nice try at an incendiary post.

Kieslowski wasn't gay.

Why would anyone despise a masterpiece?

I guess this is simply not your type of film? However that doesn't mean that the film is crap. A film so beautifully shot, with such refined aesthetics, with gorgeous soundtrack and great, subdued acting, that discourses on love, death, emptiness and longing, and how one should consider the web of relations that ties us to so many people that we don't and that we don't know, could never be considered crap.

For anyone that relishes Film as an art that serves not only to entertain, but to stimulate thinking, to look at life from different perspectives, without literally referencing every element that comprises its idea, this is a must see. A film where you are still free to interpret certain aspects, where you still have mystery and passion ruling its undertones, where you can actively disclose and not passively driven through.

-No. I've got nobody else to remember.

It saddens me to read that some people can not appreciate such a beautiful and powerful film, but this is just the reality of art. Not everyone will appreciate all art, and that may even make it all the more meaningful for those who can appreciate a particular work.

I'm a fan of Kieslowski's other films, but this one I just found to be boring. Maybe I'll give it another shot some day.

I don't think there's really anything to despise here, but I certainly didn't love it.
