What's with the bald guy leaving the bathroom at the end?

Right before Pam goes in and finds Jim dead.....is he supposed to be some type of assassin or something? (The whole moment seems sort of surreal.)

I haven’t seen the director’s cut (with commentary)…..did Stone explain it there?

The way I always interpreted it was Jim Morrison's soul leaving his body. This is only my oppinion though.

It was the shaman. Jim had passed and was lead away by a spirit guide.
Pamela Courson was a bigger druggie and more sexually extroverted than Jim. The movie portrayed her as too clean and supportive. She was equally responsible for Jim's excesses.

As an apologist turned authority I don't defend my comments because I am always right.

that makes sense.

He was in NY ? on a horse carriage ? I'm trying to remember that but can't. Was it right during that point where Morrison had the gold phone wrapped around his neck & was stumbling through the snow ?

I guess the bald guy was dressed up & wasn't very evident ?

reply

Was his head bald or shaved? It makes a big difference.

The bald guy (who is actually one of the films producers) is all over the film. He is behind Jim at Miami, in the car accident at the beginning, at the birthday scene at the end, in addition to the scenes previously mentioned. He is suppose to be death...I think.

He represented death. If you watch closely, the bald man appears numerous times throughout the film starting with the first scene of the car accident.

reply

Yeah. The bald guy was the driver of the vehicle that hit the Indians' truck and killed Morrison's spirit guide in the first place. He was the personification of death.
