Just watched it.

Boring, meandering, pointless, goreless. I guess Fulci took on a lot of films in a haste towards the end of his career. The late 70's/early 80's was definitely his peak.

I obviously haven't seen all of his films, but quite a few, and "Door To Silence" is by far my favorite Fulci. It's doomed to obscurity, though; the vast majority of his fans won't appreciate this type of work and few others will ever see it...

please, let us in on the secret to enjoying such a dull film!
even the reliable john savage is nothing but a boring schlub in this one!
the only interesting parts of the film are when the black seductress is on screen!
i've documented how many actual minutes the film wastes on shots of that *beep* chevy caprice driving around and it's 23!
i knew within five minutes he was already dead! and i have the IQ of a piece of macaroni and cheese!

We're supposed to know Melvin's dead from the start. The point of the film is his confusion and his attempts to understand what's happening to him.
I don't think this film is boring, or slow-moving, at all. In fact, "Door To Silence" is extremely interesting to me, no matter how much time is spent in that car.
