'The dishwasher's full', 'So empty it', 'Not my job'

As a kid when Sue Ellen asks where the dishes were and Kenny said in the dishwasher, I got that it was the same thing that she did to her mom, but at the same time I thought that Kenny was covering for the fact he and his friends used all the plates for skeet shooting. Anybody else think that?
