Title...

Considering that a good portion of the film focuses on Sue Ellen's transition into a working woman and all of the responsibilities that go with it, maybe a better title for the film would've been something like "9 to 5" or "Summer Job" (which would be a huge understatement).

I think the title's just fine, it definitely gets your attention.

I think it's just too boring to do an episode on.

I remember they billed it as this wacky Lord of the Flies scenario of the crazy things the kids do once the babysitter is dead.

And it was...for maybe 2 minutes. Then Applegate gets a job and the movie becomes entirely about that. It's like they were trying to ape the movie Big where a kid is passing off as an adult to bring their fresh young perspective to a clueless stuffy company. It has ZERO of the charm of Big though.

What do you think would be a better title?

Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead grabs your attention whereas 9 to 5 or Summer Job just doesn't imo.

The only reason she had to transition into a working woman with all the responsibilities is because the babysitter is dead. She wouldn't have had to do that if the babysitter didn't die.

It was originally called "The Real World" until the MTV series came out first and they had to change it.

"Don't Tell Mom..." works fine, it's kinda catchy and funny.
