This irked me everytime she said it...

"Dope sick? Dope schmick!!"

I've just never heard anyone say that-especially a teenage girl in California in the early 90s....

Unless it was a fresh veggie/fresh fruit actual market-
But, she was just going to the grocery store

probably short for supermarket, which is a grocery store.

actually, I think she said "I'm going marketing"

I think they might have chosen that term as a joke, as if she was being "motherly".

she didn't say she was going "marketing."
i'm watching it now and she said she was going to the market in the morning.
i also thought it sounded strange that a young girl in the 90's would decide to put it that way. *shrug* guess it doesn't matter.

She says "we're out of food, I'm going marketing" to Zach. (I think after she took some money from the "petty cash".) It always bothered me too when she said that. What teenager would say "going marketing"? Lol
