Odd that three of the stars of this movie played lead characters on "Chicago Hope"; in fact, each of them was the top-billed actor on "Chicago Hope" at one time or another.

Arkin and Patinkin's characters in "Chicago Hope" were also quite similar to their characters here. I recall Arkin being the compassionate nice guy doctor and Patinkin being the arrogant maverick.
