I Love Candy!!

It was a sad day when the world lost John Candy. I have liked him in all of his movies, with my favorite "Who's Harry Crumb". Although I have never been a fan of Mariel Hemingway, I really liked her in this movie. I had purchased the dvd quite some time ago and just got around to watching it. Very enjoyable, good comedy and screenplay. I give it a 7/10.

John Candy was always a favorite of mine... He was one of the men that proved "Us Fat Guys Can Do It"... I don't think that his performance in this film comes close however to his work in "Uncle Buck", "Stripes", and "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles".

Interesting, I preferred Candy in this and Who's Harry Crumb to Uncle Buck, and certainly more than in PT&A...but to each his own.

I've always been a big fan of John Candy ever since I saw him in cameos in National Lampoon's Vacation and Home Alone. I even remember his show on tv, Camp Candy, way back when. I love Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Delirious, and Uncle Buck. Also I suggest Brewster's Millions, The Great Outdoors, Summer Rental, 1941, Only the Lonely and one of my all time favs, Spaceballs.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Armed and Dangerous, what a great movie. John Candy is awesome. I also liked him in Hot to Trot.

I'm with you, jux. I was going to post about "Armed And Dangerous". Love it almost as much as Delirious.

It was a very sad day when the world lost John Candy. He was a master performer. In every movie he was in he always gave 110%, far more than most of today's so called actors. I thought Delirious was one of the best movies John Candy was in, he was in absolute top performance in this one. He showed us just how devious and hilarious someone can be if we were in his situation! Mariel Hemingway was absolutely wonderful as well. The scene where she comes down the staircase in the dress, she is breathtaking. Emma Samms is wonderful as the woman who has everything but wants more!! And Raymond Burr, he gives a wonderful performance as the ruthless business man who shows a small glimpse of his caring side. Everyone is great in this movie! We miss you John!!!!

I love this movie and Who's Harry Crumb. They are my favorite John Candy movies. It is really too bad that we lost him he wonderfully funny. And he could clearly do more than one type of hilarious character unlike some comedic actors today. RIP John Candy.
