Worst Movie Ever

This is possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen, besides the accents the entire plot was utterly boring. I'm conflicted on whether this or Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark is worse.

You are a dullard, and I suspect a half-wit. Oh, how I could go on, but because I am certain you cannot read, I will leave you with only this: "Pbbrt!"

Obvious trolling post.

Stupid people should be banned.

This is a freaking awesome movie!

The movie was so sensationalistic, and the ending plot was so contrived and just plain stupid. The overall quality of the movie was just very very poor. To those that liked this movie, I'd love to see what other movies you liked - I'm guessing you're all either fans of an actor/actress in this movie, or you really have some *cough*weird*cough* taste in movies.

reply

Would you really LOVE to see that?

You would love it.

Okay, here goes:

I liked the movies: Hamlet, Gosford Park, K-Pax, Life of Brian, Lawrence of Arabia, Beyond The Sea, American Beauty, Philadelphia, The Pianist, Dr. Strangelove, Bobby, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

And if I'm honest...anything with Derek Jacobi in it.

So I guess you were right after all.

I saw it my once and only time when I was 17, 16 years ago, but I remember thinking it was very good.

reply

Are you kidding? This was one of the best movies I've ever seen! Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson are such great actors, and that's what it makes this movie worth watching (also Kenneth Branagh's direction).

In the (roughly paraphrased) words of Robin Williams washed up psychoanalyst character

"Look, some day you gotta decide if either you're a smoker or a non-smoker, there's no in-between, nobody can do that for you"

I can't see it as the worst movie that ever existed, whilst the 'Ballad of Ricky Bobby' still hasn't had all its negatives burnt!

By the way isnt Robin Williams role pretty prescient about some of the later disturbing characters he played nerly 15 years later?

I rather like this film now.

reply

I agree. Absolutely terrible, and totally ridiculous!

reply

If you think this is the worst movie ever, you haven't seen The Wicker Man (2006).

reply

Haha...too true

OH NO, NOT THE BEEEEEES!!

On topic: hardly the worst movie ever, and a pretty decent one at that until you get to Derek Jacobi impaling himself on a giant pair of scissors.

reply

Agreed. That is, however, the most innovative death scene ever. I cannot watch that scene without an extended session of guffaws. So conspicuous, the way Branagh moves the scissors right as Jacobi jumps.
