Workable, but not great

After tracking this down on Amazon (and finding only a region 2 DVD available, which I could play on my computer), I have to say that it wasn't really worth the time and money to get this movie. I'm a big Spacey fan, and he is good in this, but the script is kind of clunky, and the movie races ahead in TV-movie style, hitting some personal notes about Darrow, and showing his growth from attorney for the railroad interests, to attorney for the under-represented. I did learn a few things from the movie, such as Darrow was law partners with the poet Edgar Lee Masters ("Spoon River Anthology"), and that Darrow's first wife left him due to his over-involvement with his work. Still, mostly a bit disappointing, due to the clunky script and the mediocre direction and filming.
