Little girl near the end


When the little girl ran out in the road, in front of the German truck, why did the Germans let them go? The two men that went to get her had a pistol and a rifle but that wouldn't have stopped the German soldiers.

Why? Because that served a maudlin plot point.

It didn't make much sense, but a good deal of this movie fails the logic test, especially so the more you know about the period.

One of the factors that contributed to Denmark saving 99% of its Jewish population during WWII was that some Germans looked the other way.

So I can believe this bit in the movie. The two German soldiers look young and "unmotivated" to engage the two armed Danish freedom fighters.
