EPIC FAILURE

The story of the Nazis and the Holocaust has been told a million times ... what hasn't been told is how 99% of Denmark's Jews were spared such a fate. Most of this occurred because of the Dane resistance (as narrowly presented in this film) but there was also a large group of Danish Jews that came back from Theresienstadt (not even mentioned in the film).

This was the golden opportunity presented to the makers of this film and they failed to seize it. Just how did the resistance save 7220 of 7800 ... how those folks come back from Theresienstadt? All we see is a silly romance and a handful of people and a single boat. Very pedestrian ... adds little to the discussion ... very unmemorable ... epic fail! 5.5 of 10
