Really not all terrible

I only say this film isn't terrible because of the way they decided to make the film. Obviously 3 was really bad, but it was kind of fun and campy. 4 strayed away from the rest and went for a serious atmospheric tone. I'll give them credit for this. The music used in the film is actually the highlight, all of it plays out very well and adds more to the film. I applaud them for attempting something new. However with more effort incorporated, this could have been maybe the best of the series.

I have seen all the movie of critters, and, for me, this is the worst. Its just boring, it hasnt got the comedy, or the action that the other three

It was darker, not funnier like the other 3.

Today so many people believe in love, that to sell condoms is the solution

any time they put someone in outer space, it ruins the movie. examples critters 4, leprechaun in space, hellraiser: bloodlines and jason x

Critters 4 could've been great, it had the dark atmosphere, more serious tone, (not too kid friendly like in part 3) but what it really lacked, what really brought it down to what i say the WORST film in the series..is well...

THE LACK OF CRITTER ACTION.

I mean come on, they are only in 6 scenes in the entire film, and 2 of them are just very, very quick scenes. We get the part where they are babies and kill the captain, then we get to the part where they kill Bernie, ok, two good kill scenes, then they're on the keyboard typing, then we see one attack everybody in the main control room, then we get them messing around with the controls to make eachother grow faster, then we get a quick cut of them attacking those 3 storm troopers, and THEN we see one last confrontation where the guy freezes the damn critter and breaks it. THAT's it folks. That all adds up to atleast 5 or 6 (or even LESS then that) minutes of screen time. We know who the critter's are by now, its the fouth one in the series. Dont give me that "It makes them more scary" kind of bull *beep* The characters in this movie sucked, i thought. A lot of them were complete asses. Critters 4 was horrible simply because they had very, very limited Critter action. The first one (the best one) had great Critter action and it was about keeping them in the dark a lot of the times (and you care for the characters) As the movie went along u see them more and more in the first. In this one they just pop up after huge amounts of time pass by, and pop up for either just a matter of seconds are about a minute. That is after their first initial attacks of course, where we see them a lot, and it almost makes this movie seem good. But no no, after that they just become sub plot's pretty much. The main conflict in the film is when a pissed off Tetra/Ug arrives with his gang of troopers and threaten everyone on the ship. Then after that it's getting off the ship, and then once you see that one last Critter you're reminded its a critter film, and even by the character's reaction (Ethan) its almost as if the character forgot about the Critter's. You'd understand what i mean if you saw this flick.

The Critter series was one that went DOWN hill very early on, starting with part 2 (which is still somewhat watchable).

See you in the funnies.

I agree 100% I was waiting for something to happen but the Critters were pretty much forgotten, the scene where the Critter was putting his babies in the machine to make them gorw fast almost seemed like it was forming a subplot, but it went nowhere and we only see the full grown critters one one 5 second scene after that, utter crap. The movie was more about them being stuck on a *beep* with a dumb computer and the critters sadfuly were only a minor inconvenience, thats all.

One good move in this movie is the setting in space, which I found to be interesting, but it was SO boring. It felt like a Herculean task to finish this movie. I thought I would indulge my best friend because he has been dying for me to see this movie...Overall, I give it a 3 out of 10 stars.

Every day is a new chance to stop procrastination.

Yes, i agree with you. It did take a more serious tone, like in the first. However...it was just so boring and barely even featured the Critter's and made them almost not all a threat as the movie came to an end.

See you in the funnies.
