i dont see why anyone would not like this movie. watching hairy aliens jumping aroung eating fat ladys and old grannys. i think it is quite enjoyable. Whos with me ??? (not many i geuss)

reply

Well, the last time I saw it (more than a decade ago) I enjoyed it just as much as the first two movies, so I guess I'm with you.

reply

Yeah, it's pretty good. It's one of my favorite movies.

reply

Its been forever since I've watched this movie but I remember buying it for my friend for his birthday and we kept watching it over and over again! I would say that I love this movie. I actually enjoy the whole series equally! I wish I had them all!

reply

i really like this movie

reply

I'd say this was better than the first two.

reply

i always enjoy watching this movie at night with a big group of people, because even though it's kind of crapy, that's what makes it entertaining. it's just a silly horror film that's not scary, but to me that is what makes it so enjoyable.

reply

Only one person even dies. It was good, but 1 and 2 are way better.

i'm with you too kinda enjoyed this film =)

Actually, 2 people died, Frank and the stepdad of Dicaprio's character.

I don't see it as a bad thing though, as there were plenty of nasty attacks and the first film only had 2 deaths aswel.

The cheesiest films are often the best! It's not as cheesy (or awesomely bad) as Flash Gordon but I liked it!

It was ok but it was a shame that none of the other regulars that were in the first two movies were not in this movie. The only one that was a regular was Charlie and that was it.

I thought the sequel was good especially when the hunter changed into that Playboy Playmate! WOW Was she hot and looked great too!

Ug has a cameo at the very end.

The third film isn't too bad. I got the DVD really cheap recently, but I hope to get the others soon. I still haven't seen the first two.

Critters 3 was ok but not really as good as the first two movies though. It has been a long time since I have seen this movie and you are correct about Ug making a cameo appearance toward the end of the movie.

That is good that you own the third movie but you need to see the first two movies. You will like the sequel because they have this very beautiful blond that I believe Ug morphs into and "Man is she hot!"

The first 3 Critters films are childhood favorites of mine. I love the first 3 and think they are very entertaining. Not nearly as bad as the 3.2 rating suggests.

Critters 4 on the other hand...yeeeeshh. Crap crap crap. Dull, boring, and not enough Critters! It had the potential to be awesome too:(

reply

I liked the first two Critters movies because it pretty much consisted of the original characters except for the entire family though. The third one was ok but it started to go down hill though.

I have to agree with you about the fourth one. The fourth one did not show enough Critters for some reason and I did not like that at all either.

I watched this Movie again the other day. It's total crap. I hate it.

reply

Well the 80's were great filled with a lot of cheesy movies and I loved it!

I used to hate this movie (and Critters 4, more on that one later, perhaps). But I relatively recently picked up all the DVDs for cheap and watched this one most recently, after thoroughly enjoying 1 and 2.

Not as bad as I remembered it at all.

The Crites/Krites/Critters LOOK better here than anywhere before and well, let's just say the acting doesn't take any sort of SERIOUS dip...
my only complaint would be body count. shoulda been 2 more people eaten, like the fat lady and maybe one of the old people....

reply

Yes I agree that there should have been more of a body count like the first two Critters movies. I mean I liked them all but it just felt as if it became worse after the third film. It would be nice if they revamped this with a 5th Critters movie. That would be totally cool to see!

The only thing is that would todays generation like the cheesiness of the late 80's and part of the early 90's though/ If you look at it the films of today are completely different from movies made back in the 80's and 90's.

This is actually my favorite out of the series. I like them all, but what I most like here is the critters themselves. They really do look better here then ever before, with more emotion, expression, and for some reason I really like having a distinguishable leader (The one with a bleached eye) even if it's too similar to having Stripe!
I also like that there was a reletively small cast. It gives you a chance to get to know everyone better, which is one reason I don't mind the death toll being lower. Although I just watched the first film last night, and I only counted 2 deaths there as well. It was really just Critters 2 that went overboard with death scenes.
Finally I really liked the cliffhanger ending with Ug, even though the follow-up film didn't pan out quite so well.

That's Scarface. I liked him a lot too.

I saw this for the first time recently and I thought it was better than the second one (which I first saw years ago alongside the first one), which I thought got a little too slapstick at times.
The Critters were really fun in this one.
I thought it was funny though that this one was marketed as a kind of 'Critter Take Manhattan' type movie but they only had a budget to keep it in one apartment block.

This movie was very good. I enjoyed it. I saw it once on TV late one night over a year ago, and I purchased the DVD some months ago. I didn't see it from the beginning. I'm not a huge Leonard DiCaprio fan, but from the movies I've seen him in, this is on the top list. Yes, that's right.

reply

One of my favorite childhood movies. This really isn't that bad a film. The critter effects are great looking and the acting from the central cast isn't to bad. Its a fun, light little monster movie.

reply

I actually thought this one was better than the first one, which I thought was poor.

reply

I thought this film was strictly so-so. It lacks the wit and energy of the first two movies, but overall ain't half bad. 5 out of 10 from me.

reply

No you´re not, this movie has so many funny moments, it´s classic horror that doesn´t take itself too seriously. That moment where the dad walks into the room and three critters turn around to look at him all the same time still cracks me up

Not as good as the first two, of course. It actually isn't too bad, if you have your expectations low.

reply

It's OK for what it is, I just wish it had less of Charlie in it... He served a purpose in the first two as the small-town idiot, but he just felt out of place and unnecessary, here.
