Enjoyable

Am I the only person who finds this movie enjoyable? It's not a great masterpiece, but it's fun.

Yeah, John was great in this. I have the VHS. I don't think I've ever seen a DVD of it for sale. I agree that it is similar to Clue, but Clue was better.

i completely agree, it's a great movie in that it's a heap of fun, not to mention hillarious (if in a juvenile sort of way). over the top is key in this film, so i don't think anyone acted badly. i'd love to get it on dvd too, it has been released so:

p.s- you people have great taste, i love 'clue' as well. and 'the 'burbs', mmm classic.

I know! I love the way she was all meek at the beginning, and then did a total 180 and started ordering Belushi around. Hilarious!

It is a masterpiece in it's own way. Not everything has to be fine art. Making something as fun and enjoyable as this is no simple feat.

reply

I like it too... :)

Too bad it's basically forgotten. They Never show it on tv.

reply

i happened to catch it on tv today actually.

it seemed a lot better than the 1 star rating that the schedule gave it.

the most shocking to me was seeing that Eugene Levy directed the film - most people know him now as the dad in the American Pie films (or with the group of actors in the mockumentaries like Best in Show, etc).
