Hot Skewer and Elapsed Time

I understand that some things about this film are "unknowable" and are meant to convey the confusion and uncertainty that a victim of a tyrannical state would feel, but I have a question about the "barbeque" scene.

The scene fades to black as the Victim is shackled face down on a table and the Interrogator is heating up a skewer. He has just gone through an elaborate ruse of telling her (in the guise of another prisoner) what happens when one is barbequed. As the screen fades out, you hear her horrible, animalistic scream. We have to assume that the Interrogator has placed the red hot skewer into her rectum, as he said he would do.

If that's the case, then later when she tries to claim that she has only been there two days, that must obviously be wrong, or she would still be injured, right? Also, earlier in the film, when she wakes up wearing black underwear and with her make up all tarted up, she shows no ill effects of having been punched in the nose hard enough to make her go unconcious. She tells the Interrogator something to effect of "Your boys had some fun with me last night" but obviously other than playing dress up, they didn't do too much.

I just want to see if I understand the contradictions and "time confusion" that Bhardwaj may have taken artistic license with.

Her misery and solitute has been manipualted to distort her sense of time.
She may be holusionating, I know my spelling is awful, or under mental collapse or God forbid it may have happened. Brillant film, which demonstrates fear governments have of the non controlable. I use Bismark's Line You can do anything with a child as long as you play with him frequently.
