This is one of the best fusion films to come out in ages and really needs to be remade. Can you just hear Russell Crowe saying, "No one's got a mortgage on my soul." You gotta admit it would make a great counterpoint to Harry Potter.

HBO already made the remake in 1994, with Dennis Hopper. WITCH HUNT (1994)

Actually, it's quasi-sequel/remake that is set in an universe that is slightly different from Cast a Deadly Spell's universe. For example, the backgrounds of the characters are slightly different from the original, but is still a continuation of that universe's version of events of what happened in the first movie.

If they make a remake, I would still cast Fred Ward, he's the right one for this job, I can hardly imagine another actor.

I would love to see this movie redone with a big budget. So much potential with this one and the lovecraft lore.
