Lord You know that I’ve been bad
So there’s no use in lying to myself
Heavenly Father please forgive me
I really don’t want to destroy myself

Chorus
Oh when I come to the end of my journey
Weary of life, the battle is won
Carry myself, the cross of redemption
We’ll understand it, better by and by

Lord sometimes I feel like Samson
You know the world has so many Delilah’s
Almighty God give me just a little more time
To right all the wrong that I have done

Chorus
Oh when I come to the end of my journey
Weary of life, the battle is won
Carry myself, the cross of redemption
We’ll understand it, better by and by
We’ll understand it, better by and by
Repeat chorus

It's amazing the impact of that song "End of My Journey" still has on people.
Guess that just goes to show that music is timeless.

reply

yeah, watching it right now

everytime this movie is on, i watch it.

and i think it has a lot to do with the music.

and it is a top notch movie.

"another gig for bean"

the chemistry of all the actors just works good. especially sheen jr. and senior.

I love that song too. You can also download it from Limewire.com for free.

Great movie but the ending kind of sucked though.
"Un-ass My Fence".

Some great lines in there too.

I have to say, that I was just looking for the title of the song also...wow...good things (music) lives on...movie was good and I seem to catch it once every other year or so...

reply

yeah, this song is really great.

harry stewart's voice touches the soul, and the piano work is masterful.

i really like the version we hear in the movie, with the other soldiers in the chapel singing in chorus.

so spiritual...

"White boy must have a blue-and-red suit under that uniform!"

I love that song and it is so fitting for that particular time/scene. He is a great singer as well.
