my grandfather was friends with the real Bugsy

Where the Swan Club was, his resteraunt, my grandfather went there alot. He was an accountant, so was my grandfather. And for years they were friends. He would like send whine, wheels of cheese, other gifts to his table. We have like these glasses that had the Swan Club insignia and stuff. Its pretty sweet, Just thought people might find it interesting.

I believe that hamisht was being sarcastic.

FYI, "Bugsy Malone" was a children's movie about gangsters and their molls in which all the parts were played by kids, including a prepubescent Jodie Foster. The submachines shot chocolate syrup, etc.

You're refering to Ben "Don't call me Bugsy" Siegel. The real Ben Siegel was called "Bugsy" because he was thought to be nuts. But it was worth one's life to call him that to his face.

You don't sound too bright yourself. Taking "godfather" as your handle does not make you cool.

Yes, Al Pacino is a legend.

You are just a guy trying to cop some status.

The club was called The Flamingo, not the Swan Club. I'd think you'd know that.

You say your grandfather went to Siegel's club and then say "he was an accountant, just like my grandfather."

Are you saying that Bugsy Siegel was an accountant? I have no doubt he knew how to keep a "second set" of "books," but that's not the same thing.

What do you mean by "friends"? Siegel was known to be generous to a fault, with little respect for money ("it's only dirty paper. We'll make more of it."). So they could have been good acquaintances.

I'm just curious why Siegel took such an interest, as in, what was the connection?
The man was a gangster and lived to profit off others. If they were close friends, they had to be associates.

Flamingo was in Vegas, Swan club was in the north shore of long island.

Also, i dont like to argue with people over the internet such as imdb. So hotfriend there is no point in trying to prove your point because im right and you're wrong. You're not in my family. So there is no point in arguing.
