How to request a HD version?

I love this movie and watch at least once every year, it's quite a lot of nostalgia for me and i really enjoy it. But the DVD quality is horrible. So i was wondering if there is a chance to request a HD version somehow?
How would i go about if i wanted to request this? Who would i contact?
Have anyone already tried maybe?

I wish there would be an HD release of this. I love it. Even a decent DVD transfer would be great, the copy I have is terrible quality.
