The guy with the legs calls his house... and the answering machine says "I'm in exile, I'm at such and such hotel." The guy leaves a msg, and then BILL answers the phone. His home phone... even though he was at a hotel. Eh?

The guy with the legs made the only call. Bill was late in answering his phone while it was ringing, so he caught it at the message recording when the guy with the legs answered.

yeah he's asleep in the hotel. the cop does says "so you got the call at home". so that was a slight goof.
