Films About Canadian History

It surprises me that I'm having such difficulty locating any historical films about Canada (preferably dramatized) save for Black Robe and perhaps Last of the Mohicans. War films featuring Canadians overseas aren't particularly difficult to locate, but I'm searching specifically for movies that involve Canadian history within its own borders. Perhaps someone could shed some light? Even a tolerable TV movie would be appreciated (emphasis on tolerable, CBC appears to make a lot of trash, although A People's History is fantastic).

Director Bruce Beresford noted the same thing himself, apparently one of the main reasons he wanted to make the film. Pity a few more people at the time didn't go to see it, as there may have been a few more made over the years.🐭
