Worst Scifi ever...
Anyone else agree? I can't believe so many people recommend this film, it's a fing joke, Ive watched both version as well, just to find out if something this bad could actually be hyped to the art house crowd.

shareyou can't be serious.
shareYes it's very interesting come to imdb to find out that many really bad films are hyped by a lot of people.

I don't agree. Try the 1988 version of Isaac Asimov's "Nightfall" for the worst SF ever.
"I'm not reckless . . . I'm skillful!"
I really don't understand people that come to imdB, post a negative review and ask, "Anyone else agree?"
Are you trying to form a gang so you feel secure in bashing other's work?
If you don't like it, fine. But why go online to trash people, and try to round up others to massage your hate?
Stick with Dragonball Z, it's more your speed.
shareYou say this 20 years after it's production?
The ground-breaking digital technological advances alone give this film ample geek clout before considering any content. Plus, the content was as dead-on predictive as anyone could've possibly imagined (in 1991!)
I think what I'm trying to say is it was Sci-Fi (looking forward) in 1991. In 2011 and beyond (looking backward) some might think it a bit pedestrian.
"For once in my life, I'd like to catch somebody BEFORE they do something horrible. Alright?"
Yes, it probably would be the worst sci-fi film ever...if it was a sci-fi film.
"Sacred cows make the best hamburger." Mark Twain
It is sci-fi and it is pretty bad - at least as far as the acting goes anyway. I expected a lot more from such a (usually) high calibre.
Very off putting, especially when I really wanted to like this film as it seemed to tick all the right boxes as something I'd otherwise have loved.
