Side note: Is a pickle station actually a thing? Sounds delicious.

reply

Because Station didn't say "Pickle". The whole thing was that Station can mean anything.

I recently watched the film on HBO, after years of not seeing it...I noticed evil Ted would randomly say "Station" after some sentences...and as far as I know, it's not a 'real' slang word...so I was wondering if in the movie's universe that:

Station creating Good B/T influenced the creation of Evil B/T in the future, and "station" happens to be slang as well.

"I'm better than okay, I'm Homer Simpson."

Frank, you are a freakin' genius! I totally did not make that connection, but it's clear you are right:

Because the creature Station could only say his own name, (like Ted said: "The guy who can make one word mean anything - Station!") the word station became a slang word that could be used in any situation to mean anything. Hence in the future, station is a slang word that can mean anything.

Whoa, that just blew my mind!
