A good concept, but a little too slight, undercooked.
The cast is charming, though. There's the nostalgia factor as well (especially the trailer). As for the title: It's both cheesy and bland. I kind of prefer "Stepkids."
shareThere is no connection between the title and the plot. I was expecting for more mischievous behavior from the main character and some kind of payback. I also not sure that Stepkids is the right name because there is only one step kid main character in the movie. In favor of the title they chose it's much more intriguing than just Stepkids.
