Laura and the dog?
I'm still new to the film, and I don't know, what exactely is it about the dog that makes Laura cry? All I know is that the dog must remind her of herself in some way?

shareI hate that scene, mainly because of how his owner treats him.
I took it to mean that even though the poor dog is treated like crap by his owner he still sticks around and doesn't want to leave, this, I think, got to Laura because she left her family and they never even did anything as terrible as physically abuse her.
I think at that point she realized she made a terrible mistake in running away and she broke down.
If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?
