Can you think of another Disney hero/heroine and villain that would be a worser couple then Belle and Gaston and why? And of course it has to be two of the opposite sex, since I don't know if Disney will ever have a gay or even openly gay character, or even a gay couple.
Are you kidding? There must be lots of other ones that would be just as bad if not more, without the actual sexual tension that was intentional in the Gaston-wanting-Belle motive of this film. Off the top of my head, there's already:
Pocahontas and Ratcliffe: the athletic, treehugging free-spirited "Savage" (in Ratcliffe's eyes), with the fat, greedy, materialistic, white man from a completely different culture/country.
That's a great one, but I was under the impression that the OP was referring to the main protagonist when using the term "hero/heroine". If not, that would open the door to some very easy examples of somewhat secondary "love interest" characters vs. the villains in their films like Prince Eric and Ursula for instance.
And of course it has to be two of the opposite sex, since I don't know if Disney will ever have a gay or even openly gay character, or even a gay couple.
Oh boy, talking about a comment not aging well BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
